Nearly any kind of noise* from our brake pads is typically a red-flag that is indicating a problem (to be clear, we're just saying that our brake pads don't make noise - therefor something is wrong). 99.9% of the time, the rotor is the root of the issue.
Follow our Rotor Prep Process and contact us if the noise continues.
Note: you must follow our suggested process to-a-T, step by step in order for it to have the highest chance for success. Do not skimp on the grit of sandpaper you use, for example.
This process is not fool-proof; sometimes rotors are just done, old and worn out.
What if your rotors are brand new, but you're still getting noise? Did you clean them with isopropyl alcohol or acetone before installing (wipe on wet, wipe off dry before the chemical evaporates)?
If you did clean them and you're still getting noise or have issues, contact us and we'll run you through our quick warranty replacement process. We're not going to make it hard - we want to make sure you are happy with our product, first and foremost. Weird things can happen but we'll fix it.
NOTE: previous use of sintered metallic brake pads will create the highest probability of noise with any other brake pad compound. Again, our Rotor Reset Process will typically remove the material left from the sintered metallic brake pads.
*Of course ALL brake pads can make noise at times. If you ride through a creek for example, our brake pads will make noise - they all will - but our compounds will "recover" incredibly quickly and become silent in a matter of seconds, in most cases.
Even riding in the rain should not garner much noise at all, especially with consistent movement and braking.
